Did you know that Venice is made up of 118 islands, connected by bridges for walking and bicycling? However, you can only get to much of Venice by boat or gondola going through the Grand Canal. I only had a day here but I did adventure all over from walking over the bridges and doing a gondola I pretty much covered all.
From beaches to volcanoes…there is something for every adventurer here!
This is a country that has no army and is a neutral zone for most countries. People here are friendly and speak English as a second language.
One of my favorite places to vacation!
Probably some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Clear crisp blue waters. You can actually see fish below you as you swim.
They are also known for stingrays. But not near the beaches. Stingrays are docile creatures. If you do see them in the beach area, do not swim over them, when scared, they raise their tale which is the stinger for protection. I was able to actually hold one and learn about these beautiful creatures.
If you are ever in the area of Catalonia, Spain - a must see is Park Guell. Don't miss this historical, amazing, colorful park created by 3 artists: Gaudi, Rubio and Jujol. I spent the entire day here and still didn’t see everything the park has to offer. A great place for picture taking, walking and enjoying the day outside!
The tower’s legs are placed in north, south, east and west point directions. If you stand directly in the middle and look up, you can see 324 meters above you straight to the floor of the tower. And yes I went all the way to the top.
What is the "Big Five". You will hear that phrase a lot in Africa.
1. Lion, 2. Leopard, 3. Rhinoceros, 4. African Elephant, 5. African buffalo.
The phrase came from on foot big game hunters. These 5 animals were known to be the hardest to hunt. But hunting has become more difficult now, since there are many laws to protect these Big Five.
This picture is a leopard which was about 3 meters from us on our safari.
